Great place to stay on Scenic byway 12

We just returned from our wonderful trip to Bryce Canyon.

Stone Canyon Inn, Tropic, Utah is located in the most beautiful setting, right at the foot of Bryce Canyon.

It is not in the Park but you can hike easily into the park from Tropic. The grounds are all native plants with no need for artificial grooming.

The cabin was simple, clean, and very, very comfortable. Most of the cabins have a view looking up to the red rocks of Bryce.

We stayed in October and the food was excellent - the best you will get on Highway 12 - superior to that of the well known restaurant in Boulder.

Dinning on the deck during the summer must be a wonderful experience.

Our last visit was over Thanksgiving.

We made pies, froze them and baked them on Thanksgiving day with our Turkey in the fully equipped kitchen of our cottage before we took a hike on the "Peekaboo" trail.

The hot tub on our deck was wonderful after the hike - keep your clothes on - two very large deer were peeking through the Juniper Trees!
