Burr Trail Slot Canyon

by Hank R
(Calgary, Canada)

We stayed at the Stone Canyon Inn guest house for 2 nights. The Bryce Canyon area was our last stop on a tour of Arches, Canyonlands and Zion parks. We toured Bryce Canyon one afternoon and, although we got some great pics (who wouldn't?)of Bryce, we decided to spend the next day driving through Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument at the suggestion of Bernie, who is only too eager to help make the most of one's trip. We drove as far as Boulder and took the side road as far as the end of pavement.
The slot canyon is incredible! Kivi Koffee was a nice break on the way. I don't think I've ever seen so much sandstone scenery and so little topsoil!

The guest house is fabulous and suitable for extended stays. The location of the Inn is very convenient to Bryce Canyon and well worth the few extra minutes of travel between the two. I'm attaching a few low-res pics of OTHER than Bryce Canyon - any fool can take good pics of Bryce...
