Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon

Some of the best things about Stone Canyon Lodge are the setting - it has Bryce Canyon as a backdrop and the night sky - there are so many stars visible, it is hard to find the big dipper!

Our cabin, #13, which we shared with another couple was clean, with all the necessities in the kitchen and bathroom. The living room which was generous in size could use another easy chair so all 4 people could sit there.

The kitchen has a nice sized table, enough for 6 and 8 in a pinch. It would be nice if the recessed lighting had a dimmer switch, or perhaps another floor lamp in the area for softer lighting as we are not as wrinkle free as we used to be.

I would say my only complaint would be breakfast. Due to the remoteness of the cabin it would be nice if there was a good buffet breakfast provided rather than just muffins, yogurt and fruit. Granted, one can cook in the cabins, however we only stayed one night and were not able to bring groceries with us. In many boutique hotels we have stayed at a generous breakfast is the norm. However this is not a deal breaker by any means.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Emails are promptly returned. And as mentioned before, the setting is truly its best feature. All in all, a thumbs up!
